The History and Evolution of Jazz in the 20th Century Through Performance is Eric’s acclaimed multi-part concert and lecture series that brings the rich legacy of jazz to life while highlighting its deep connection to American social and political history.

Each 60–90 minute session features an ensemble of extraordinary professional jazz musicians and explores a pivotal era in jazz, spotlighting influential musicians, composers, and stylistic developments—paired with an engaging look at the cultural movements that shaped and were shaped by the music of the time.

Blending live performance, insightful lecture, multimedia visuals, and interactive audience Q&A, this series is both entertaining and educational—perfect for students, educators, and lifelong learners alike.
